It's fast, and thin.

The cameras suck!

There is a ton of excellent APPS for it!

If you already own an Ipad, I would suggest hanging on til the next generation.

If you do not own an Ipad yet, this thing Kicks Ass!

The Iphone 3GS and the New 3.0 OS is HERE!

Apple has announced the release of the NEW iPhone 3Gs! This is a big upgrade and makes the best phone in the world even better!

NEW FEATURES INCLUDE:
1. The long awaited CUT, COPY, PASTE! So all you blackberrys can now shut up!
2. A New Auto Focus Camera!
3. A new Landscape Keyboard when you hold sideways!
4. Send MMS messages including video, photos, audio! (AT&T who suck! Say it will be avail late summer)
5. Voice Control! Use your voice to call or control Itunes!
6. You can now shoot video with editing!
7. Compass!
8. Spotlight Search. Now you can find anything on your iPhone!

What sucks is if you own an iphone 3G, they want an extra $200 more to upgrade!

Also AT&T basically suck! The Service sucks and the price is a rip off! Drop out hell!
I will personally upgrade to 3Gs in January when the iPhone comes to Verizon.

ZOMBIEVILLE USA! AMAZING iPHONE GAME!

Zombieville USA is a zombie survival game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game features some extremely intense moments where the player will find themselves on their last bullet wondering how they will stay alive till the next round. The whole point of the game is to stay alive for as many rounds as possible so that you can boast a high score. The game will give you supplies and money by entering houses for a moment and then jumping out to continue your quest to the right. Many different types of weapons can be unlocked from lazers, flamethrowers, machine guns, and shotguns, Chainsaws.. this game does not take post apocalyptic zombie killing lightly. It is honestly one of my favorite games to play on the iPhone. Very Addictive!

In this game, you will be ripped apart if you do not make every move and shot count and let me tell you, it's heartbreaking watching your valiant hunter man get his ass kicked. The controls are simple, left and right on the bottom corners off the screen will move your unnamed character in the respective direction and the bottom center of the screen will shoot. At the end of a level, the player is given the option to purchase new weapons, ammo or health provided they have found enough money in the previous level to do so. The more I play, the more I learn the rhythm of the game. This can really help you! I have gotten to level 26 which is insane!

Overall, this game offers an intense experience with some great graphics and sound, and come on, it's got zombies and awesome weapons. I am looking forward to more from these developers! You also can't beat the price! BY THIS GAME! You won't be sorry!

The Iphone Really Does Rock!

As if there would ever be any question about it, the Apple iPhone and iPhone 3G have topped the latest survey conducted by JD Power & Associates. The 2009 Wireless Consumer Smartphone Satisfaction Survey shows the phone taking the lead in most areas.

With a score of 791 out of 1,000, Apple excelled in all areas including operating system, operation, features and design receiving 5/5 stars. However, it received a 2/5 for the battery category. LG and Samsung followed with scores of 772 and 759, respectively.

Also released today was the 2009 Wireless Traditional Mobile Phone Satisfaction Study which showed LG coming out on top with a 733 score. Sony Ericsson followed with a score of 712. Interestingly enough, those who still used traditional mobile phones remain mostly satisfied, even though they know smartphones carry additional feature sets.

VERIZON IS ON THE WAY!

ATT&T is ok, but in all honesty not my favorite. They also have a bit of a my way or the highway attitude since they are the monopoly service provider for iphone. This is what I found out today:

Verizon (VZ) and Apple (AAPL) are discussing the possible development of an iPhone for Verizon, with the goal of introducing it next year, people familiar with the situation say.
It would mark the first time Apple has produced a version of the iPhone for a CDMA wireless network, which is different from AT&T's GSM technology. Vodafone, co-owner of Verizon Wireless, already sells the iPhone in Europe. The New York-based telecom entered into "high-level" discussions with Apple management a few months ago, when CEO Steve Jobs was overseeing day-to-day business, these sources say. They declined to be named because they aren't authorized to speak publicly. Jobs is on medical leave until June, but the conversations are continuing, they say. Apple declined to comment on the specific question of whether it is talking to Verizon. The company provided a prepared statement, culled from comments to investors by COO Tim Cook last week: "We're very happy with the relationship that we have (with AT&T) and do not have a plan to change it." Cook added that "CDMA doesn't really have a life to it after a point in time." Verizon is in the process of upgrading its network to a fourth-generation wireless technology known as "LTE." It is possible to build phones that work on both CDMA and LTE networks.

Welcome!

Ahhhh....first entry into my new blog! Very cool! Ok so lets do it like this.
Here are just a few things I do with my iphone on a daily basis:

1. Wake up, turn my iphone on, check email, check for any new voicemail, or text messages,
check the weather.

2. In the Gym using the iphones build in Ipod and either listening to Metallica while I life weights or watching Dexter while im on the elliptical trainer.

3. In the office checking my iphone schedule for to do's and appointments.

4. Checking stocks and portfolio

5. Umm of course make phone call and texting. LOL

6. Order up lunch from iphone or find a cool place to eat.

7. Find movie times, watch movie previews.

8. Get directions and view google maps.

9. Take photos

10. Browse the internet on a REAL web browser!

11. Play Games! :)

12. Use a terminal program to SSH into one of my servers.

13. Monitor the health of my servers.

14. Watch Youtube.

15. Read Headline News

16. Read Books.

17. Record my notes.

18. Use facebook, twitter and Myspace.

And thats just the basic stuff I use my iphone for. There is SO MUCH MORE!
If you can think it, there is probably an app already that does what you want!

I have had Blackberrys, I checked out the google phone and other smart phones, they are all ok, but there is nothing and I MEAN NOTHING that can compare to the feel, the look, the operating system of the apple iphone! It's SEXY! It's like having a mini mac in the palm of your hand. I have had mine for almost 2 years and everyday this thing blows me away!

My first iphone was jailbroken because at the time there were no apps available, but now with the iphone 3g and soon to be released 3.0 software, I personally see no reason to jailbreak your iphone. Everything I need is now available. Of course there are some apps that have been written that might not have been approved by apple or followed all the API guidelines, and you can still get them if your phone has been jail broken, but at this stage of the game for most of the world it is not necessary.

Blackberry people. Their whole gripe is how the Blackberry can copy and paste text and messages while the iphone cannot. Honestly I am surprised apple did not have that implemented when the iphone first came out. But if you compare apples to apples (no pun intended), the iphone just blows the Blackberry away! It does everything else and WAY more.
You can also bet your bottom dollar that copy, paste is coming soon!

The only other cool features I would like to see is the ability to record video, and the ability to send and receive photo sms, text messages, email, etc etc etc.

Anyway, getting back to this blog, I will be reviewing, previewing, giving tips and tricks on the apple iphone! In fact, here are a few tips now:

TIP
In any application, Safari included, you can automatically scroll to the top of the page by tapping on the "top bar", which has the time, service bars, and battery. In Safari, this not only brings you to the top of the page, but also brings up the URL bar.

TIP
HOW TO EXTEND BATTERY LIFE:
1. Turn down the LCD. The new iPhone's screen is brighter, but you shouldn't be running this thing at full power if you want to save battery power. Change this under Settings -> Brightness.

2. Wi-Fi new network scanning off or Wi-Fi off. While you're not checking data for more than a few seconds at a time, I'd turn off Wi-Fi and in general, I'd turn off Wi-Fi scanning. It uses less power than EDGE or 3G but when you're not using your network connection, you might as well shut it down. Change this under Settings -> Wi-Fi. Same goes for Bluetooth.

3. Toggle off 3G till ready. Here's something I wish Apple had automatically managed. I use 3G for browsing, YouTube, app store purchases when not around a computer, or during important calls. For all other uses, including email, weather checking and Twitter, etc, I use EDGE. This setting is under Settings -> General -> Network.

4. Turn off Vibrate in Games. Playing a game with vibrate happening frequently is an unnecessary battery suck. If you can turn it off, turn it off.

5. Limit use of A-GPS tracking. GPS tracking is still pretty useless after you've gained your bearings, since there isn't a turn by turn navigation mode for driving. I exit out of maps once I've got the directions in my mind, and if I lose myself again, I just start maps up once more.

6. Set the Autolock to 1-minute. The iPhone's autolock is good at shutting off the screen if you forget to when placing it in a pocket, purse or just tossing it on a table after a call. I set mine to the most aggressive, 1-minute, but there are times where I set it to 2-minutes. This setting is under Settings -> General -> Autolock.

7. Set Push to Off, and Set Fetch Time. Push email isn't that useful for me because I know I'm getting emails all day long and that I have to be checking all the time. Push does use more juice than the fetch mode, which checks for calendar, contact and email syncing at set intervals of 15 minutes to an hour. I set mine to 1 hour unless I'm out of the office. If you seldom update your contacts and calendars, you might even be better off syncing by cable to iTunes, while you pick up a charge.

Ok well thats it for now more to come soon!
